PLEASE REPORT ALL PROBLEMS DIRECTLY TO BETA@PSQUARED.NET First release of SmoothStream(TM) version of Scoop. Added automatic correction for Daylight Savings Time. This can be configured from the Options Menu Improved Settings Screens, and moved Cart locations to a separate menu option in line with P Squared Policy. Recording no longer takes up a cart player, instead, it uses a new recording bar that appears when you start recording. The title of the piece being recorded can be simply entered onto this bar at any time prior to saving the piece. Added an Estimated Read Time based on Word count. v1.2.8 The default samplerate has now been changed to 44100 for new Scoop Systems. Scoop is now written using a different development language. This means that all scoop systems require Scoop to reinstalled. This is a simple process, and all of your previous settings will be retained. Fixed a problem when deleting a story with Audio attached. If you responded no when asked if you wanted the audio deleted, the story would not be deleted. v1.2.7 There is a new option on the Settings Screen that allows you to specify the volume that the audio will be played out at. This allows you to configure the Scoop system to playout at a reduced level. The Settings menu has been slightly changed to allow the above settings to added. The Instant carts have been reduced in width on the Playout screen to allow more script space. v1.2.6 Scoop has now been updated to allow up to 4 cart players to be used. v1.2.5 Corrected a problem with the color of text on the bulletin builder causing text to disappear. v1.2.4 Corrected a problem with story windows not manipulating the story you had selected in the new wire feed windows. The buttons at the side of the windows should be replaced by a scroll bar in the next release. It was not possible to include this feature in this update. v1.2.2 Corrected a few remaining cut and paste problems. The new Story Windows are now sizeable rather than fixed size. If the height is reduced considerably, the 'header' area of the window simplifies to allow more display area. v1.2.1 Corrected a problem with the Audio Editor buttons not being available in Scoop. The Audio Engine has been upgraded to compliant with the latest version of Myriad 2.5's Audio routines (this is nescessary to allow forward compatibility with Myriad 2.5). The main visible change is that the location of the Audio Editor is now stored in the [FileLocations] section of the Configuration file rather than the [AudioSettings] section. v1.1.116 You can now open more 'Story Lists' than just the one that sits at the side of the screen. To do this, click the Books icon at the left of the toolbar. You can now set it so when Scoop starts, it automatically displays a windowed storylist, rather than docked at the side. This setting is on the Settings Menu under Display. Corrected a problem where an error message stating "Invalid Story tag Code" was displayed incorrectly when closing scoop. This only occured if you had used the audio buttons on a story window. You can now drag'n'drop from the new search window into both the Bulletin Builder and the WireFeed window. v1.1.115 Corrected a problem with using the shortuct keys for editing text (ie cut ctrlx /copy ctrlc /paste ctrlv) that caused duplicate text when pasting into a story. v1.1.114 Fixed error when clicking the delete icon when first viewing a story Scrolling down the list while in a category (ie not ALL Categories) has been improved. Scrolling Back up in a single category will be improved in a future release. Clicking the 'Home' button above the scroll button returns you to the top of the list. Improved the user interface to 'follow' windows color schemes Added a search facility. This is available from the file menu, or by pressing the key and 'H' v1.1.113 The 'Title then record' option that is available by right clicking on a cart in the Cart browser is now also available on an icon next to the record button on the Audio Player. Clicking on this will prompt you for a title for the recording, and when you click OK, it starts recording. Find cart has been improved. When doing a 'Find' in the Cart Browser it now displays a list of matching carts rather than just the next one. This allows you to rapidly find several carts with similar names. Scoop now supports PA (as long as you pay them of course!) Right clicking on the 'Home' button on the cart browser now has a fourth option 'Next Empty Cart'. This will take you to the next empty cart on the browser. Different categories can have different expiry dates. ie the Bulletin might delete stories after 2 days, whilst the Local categories could be set for 10 days. You can now import an audio file into Scoop. Right click on an empty cart and choose Import Audio. It then asks you to find the audio file you want to import. After it imports it, it names the cart the same as the filename (ie Blair-Whitmer.wav goes into a cart called Blair-Whitmer). It then asks you if you want to delete the original file. You should do this as it prevents them from taking up hard drive space. The text display size on screen and on printouts is now bigger to make it easier to read. You can now change font size in a story as well as colour, bold etc. This is available from the Edit menu.
