It includes many improvements over previous versions of the software including (but not limited to!): Scoop v2 or higher needs a different license code from the old v1 system. Scoop Server has been renamed Scoop Capture Completely new front end, standardising on the P Squared Server side front end. Support for Web based news services Improved method of managing "Sources" - formerly wire feeds - particularly when using multiple sources feeding into a single database (directory). Sources that capture text from serial ports can now distribute that data stream using TCP-IP. Simply connect your application to port 6970+the Source number (i.e. Source 1 is on 6971, Source 2 on 6972 etc.) and you will recieve the data as it comes in. You can now "Capture" from an IP address and port number as well as from a serial port. Simply enter the IP address or computer name and port number in the incoming Port box on the Source Setup. e.g. 192.168.1.1:75. Used in conjunction with the feature above you could easily daisy chain several Scoop Capture systems around a lan or Wan Added support for Daylight Savings Adjustments. These are applied to the text and to the audio files captured. Consolidated the Index Processor and Delete Processor into a single program. Scoop Capture now has the Story Processor built in.
