Once issued however, this update includes the ability to renew the new License Code online. For more details please see www.psquared.net/licensing Scoop Edit now includes a new P Squared Support File Feature. This is available on the Help menu and packages up all the files nescessary for P Squared Technical Support to diagnose the majority of any problems you may encounter. v2.0.11 After editing an item in a bulletin by double clicking on it in the Bulletin BUilder, the BUlletin Builder now shows any changes to the Title or Main story text. Fixed a problem with opening the "Load BUlletin" window from within the Bulletin Builder when the Cart Browser is open. Fixed a problem where when deleting a story, clicking "No" to wanting to delete the audio as well as the story meant that the story wasn't deleted at all. There is no a Yes/No/Cancel instead - no will not delete the audio, but will delete the story, whilst cancel will delete neither. Fixed a problem where an invalid time in the index would cause Scoop to quit. v2.0.9 Support for IRIS v1 has been added. You can configure the system by a new option on the Settings menu. When turned on, right clicking on a cart in the cart browser presents you with a new Send To Iris menu option. For information on IRIS and it's ability to transfer audio to sister or other stations, please contact P Squared directly. There is a new option on the Audio Tab under settings that allows you to turn off updating the story list while recording a cart. This is to help systems with extremely large numbers of stories causing audio glitches. You can now run a Cart Report from within Scoop Edit. Added a workaround for the Microsoft maximum 50 minute recording/playout issue. Fixed a problem where the closing the Playout window whilst in "edit" mode would leave part of edit mode enabled when re-entering the window. Corrected a problem that could cause Scoop to exit whilst compiling a pad into a single file When you first install and setup Scoop, the default playback volume is now 100% v2.0.8 Fixed a problem with attempting to add stories to a category that has been deleted. You are now prompted if you try to overwrite a cart that already exists when starting to record Fixed a problem where after clicking the player on the Playout screen you could not use the keyboard on the main playout window. Fixed a problem where removing stories from a bulletin that has already been saved left them at the end of the bulletin, so they came back if you then reopen bulletin Added scrollbars to the main window so you can retrieve "lost" windows. Fixed a problem where the default font was being ignored on stories that have no original and no edited versions. The drop down menu options on the Home button on the Cart Browser now work correctly. v2.0.7 Fixed a couple of minor issues with editing carts created by exporting from the pad Fixed a problem with the Installer not installing mscomm32.ocx Fixed a problem with license codes that don't allow Audio Functions Added a workaround for a problem with Cool 2000 with having a space in the name of the folder that contains the wav file. v2.0.6 Added a workaround for a Microsoft problem where closing the Cart Browser could cause the Global Instant Carts list to be get stuck behind all other windows. Fixed a problem where pressing Enter while editing a field in the Newsflash or Category grids in Scoop Database Settings caused the complete window to save and close. The Bulletin Length is now displayed correctly when you first load a bulletin into the bulletin browser. The Bulletin Title is now displayed at the top of the Bulletin in the Playout Window. The cart numbers of carts that can be edited are now displayed in green on the cart browser, whilst those that can't are shown in red. If a cart cannot be edited, the move, edit and delete buttons are now disabled on the cartbrowser. The copy button is disabled if a cart is Empty. Also updated the right click menu. Fixed a problem where you couldn't copy a cart from outside the overall scoop area into the edit area. Pressing the Pause/Break key in the playout window now toggles edit mode and the Delete/. key on the number keypad turns autoscroll on and off v2.0.5 When a news flash is available in the playout window, when it's displayed you can now click a save icon to automatically create a new story from the newsflash, save it to the story database and add it to the bulletin in the next position. If you want it to remain in the bulletin permanently, you must then SAVE the bulletin as well. News flashes are now enabled in the Playout Window You can now turn on a "clock" in the Playout window that displays the layout of the current bulletin. This setting is in Settings>Playout Settings. The lengths of each cart are now shown adjacent to each cart on the cart browser. You can turn this off in the the Settings>Audio screen. Fixed a problem where Scoop would exit if you closed the cart browser and then went back into it in some circumstances. The Home button on the Cart Browser has moved into the center of the toolbar to put it adjacent to the main Jump button. It also now has an icon and a drop down arrow to indicate that more options are available on it. You can now drag and drop carts onto the playout window to assign them to a story. You can also rearrange the carts order in a story by drag and drop. Hovering over a cart button in the playout window also now gives you the details of that cart including the length. There is now a button on the Playout Window that undoes any changes made to the story and reverts to the last saved version. Fixed a problem where the first cart in a story could be lost if you edit the story in the playout window and then save it. v2.0.4 Fixed a problem where the move/copy cart window was stuck behind the cart browser. The cart browser now doesn't float over the top of the audio editor. Fixed a problem with scoop exiting if you close the cart browser whilst the audio editor is running Further improved the delay in loading carts in the Playout Window When you scroll off of a story in the playout window and then back onto it, any carts that have been marked blue (have been played) are cleared so they can be played again v2.0.3 Increased the speed of Automatic Scrolling in the playout window You can now drag and drop carts onto the players on the Playout window. There are 2 buttons on the Playout window to bring up the cart browser and the Global Instant Carts The Bulletin builder now shows the correct length of the bulletin. You can can delete old bulletins. Improved the way that the Select Bulletin window highlights the most recently saved bulletin. Playout now slightly delays the Cueing of audio as you scroll through the story list to speed up scrolling as it not's constantly cueing audio. Global Instant Carts have a slightly newer look The cart browser now "floats" over the top of the main window once opened. Changed the way Cart Chunk information is updated to fool Cool Edit into not-redrawing the PK files each time a cart is opened. v2.0.2 The Global Instant Carts have been changed to "Float" above all the other windows so you keep it open when in Playout mode - rememeber though that unless you "click" back onto the playout screen to give it "focus", the keys to control the bulletin won't work. In the playout window though the number keys do trigger the Global Instant Carts Improved handling of cancelling from the Import audio box in the Cart Browser Fixed a couple of problems loading bulletins and removing audio clips from stories in the playout window v2.0.0 This is the first release of Scoop v2. It includes many improvements over previous versions of the software including (but not limited to!): The Author History has changed to now give the user and computer name of the users that have edited this story. By popular demand (END_UNDER-STATEMENT!) cart numbers are now shown on the Story List. You can have multiple carts per story Completely new look for the playout window. Automatic scrolling of bulletins during playout. You can easily manipulate the bulletin once in the playout screen to re-order or remove stories. You can also reorder the cart order inside individual stories. You can record carts directly from the Playout screen. Added Audio Settings menu option to allow increased configuration of the Audio Engine SmoothStream(tm) engine for ultimate reliability You can use a level trigger for simple recording.
